The most enjoyable subject...


Throughout our university career, we have different subjects that contribute less or more depending on our area of ​​interest.

Now, one of my favorite subjects is pharmacognosy. The objective of the subject is that we can identify a plant drug, in addition to its active ingredients, pharmacological effects, interactions and adverse effects. For this, the classes are mostly practical, and this is what I like the most. In laboratories we must recognize active principles that certain plants possess through various chemical reactions. This is very interesting, since our grandparents have always used plants that are part of traditional or folk medicine and their pharmacological properties are not always known.

In our laboratory, we have excellent teachers and assistants who guide us to do a better job, as well as providing us with the plant and instrumental material to carry out the activities. Gabriela is one of the assistants that I would like to highlight, she is very nice and kind.

I think that this subject has helped me to think about what I want to work after I graduate, I would like to work in an anthroposophic medicine pharmacy, this is an extension of traditional medicine.

PETS & ANIMALS

Since I was a child I liked cats a lot, they seemed beautiful and mysterious. When I was a child I had an accident with my grandmother's cat, the cat bit me and I had to go to the doctor, however, the cats never stopped liking him. In my house we have two cats, they are called Pelusa and Ruby. They have those names because of their color and type fur. They arrived five years ago approximately. They play together and they also play with us, they have a toy mouse that they love. In winter, they liked to be in front of the stove and they slept in our beds. Rubi is more independent than Pelusa, because she likes to climb the roof to watch the birds and sunbathe, while Pelusa likes to be inside the house. Your favourite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is the Tablet, specifically the iPad. I got it this summer, I bought it with my first salary of my summer job.  I like it so much! Because I can do a lot of activities with it, it´s bigger than smartphone and it´s smaller than notebook  and also, I can connect me to internet easily. Sincerely, the iPad is very important for me, because I can use it all time. I carry it to the university and use it to study, in addition, I can connect it to an keyboard by Bluetooth . Also I use it to play videogames in my house or watch series on Netflix In my opinion, my life would be very different without the tablet because I would have to use a notebook which is very heavy compared to tablet, the notebook doesn´t permit to use the touch system and it´s more uncomfortable than than iPad. and you, which is your favourite piece of technology?
